HAYYA IN OUR DAILY LIVES PROMOTES U.A.E CULTURE

Haya’ can be translated as: modesty, shame, shyness or bashfulness. The word haya’ is derived from the word “al-hayaah”, which means life. Islam encourages and treasures al-hayaa’ or modesty. It is one of the most important characteristics that each and every Muslim should acquire.
U.A.E.’s culture is fixed in Arabia's Islamic traditions. Islam is more than a religion; it is a way of life that governs everyday events from what to wear to what to eat and drink. The U.A.E.'s culture and heritage is inextricably linked to its religion, and it is a shining example of Islam's true commitment to tolerance and hospitality.
‘Islamic Culture’ is a term used to describe all cultural practices common to many Muslims around the world with a foundation of modesty (hayaa’). Some of the salient features of this society are:
·             No free unity between males and females who are not married. The laws of Hijaab will be observed.
·             Modest dressing. Clothing will truly cover the body and have no flirtatious intent.

·             Men and women will fulfill the separate roles that have been given to them — the husband as breadwinner and the wife as mother and one who fulfills the household responsibilities, etc. This is the foundation to a stable Islamic family which together with other such families forms a stable Islamic community.
